Martha, Her Nose and a Polly Pocket Shoe

Martha was playing quietly, all the kids were playing quietly, I was able to get on the internet, check out a few things, watch some grown-up tv. It was a great day, until I heard Martha scream and yell for me. She comes running back to me in tears and says mommy I got a shoe stuck up my nose. Sure enough she got a tiny Polly Pocket shoe stuck up her nose. After many attemps at trying to remove it, I called the doctor. Even on the way, she was telling me she was fine with the shoe in her nose, she just wanted to go to the library. When we got to the doctor's office it took me, the nurse practitioner and the doctor to hold her down and remove that tiny little shoe!!! It was really gross!

Fireworks

This was the best picture of the fireworks I could get on my camera, they were really great in person!

Me, Clara and Jennie Mathews

Martha, Clara, Grace, me and my Mom

So I am finally getting around to posting about last weekend. We finally got to see the fireworks! We went to Waynesboro to the Extravaganza in the Park to see the fireworks. We met the Mathews' family and the Reid family. Everyone had a great time!

Happy 4th of July

We had a great weekend! It started at the drive-in. We went and saw Up! It was a really cute movie. Then on Saturday we went to the Frontier Culture Museum. We met up the Mathews' family and hung out there for a while. The kids did the two man saw contest, sack race, watermelon seed spitting contest and just played around the American farms. We didn't go to the park for the fireworks, but did come home in time to see some being put off at the Harley Davidson shop. So even though we had some pretty late nights, it was a great weekend!
I thought this picture of Clara was really cute so I had to add it!

Won't You Take Me To Funkytown

I went to the roller rink tonight with the girls and the Mathews family! It was SOOOO much fun! I haven't been roller skating for probably 15 or so years. I only fell once and it really wasn't my fault, there was something on the floor. My skate wheel caught it and I went flying head first into the floor. It was pretty funny. I couldn't even get up, I had to crawl to the wall and get up. I did bump my knee. I couldn't let Jennie be the only one limping around! lol! Grace and Martha were a bit shaky, but did great for the first time on skates. Clara loved the music, the music was fun, they played all kinds. She was dancing and shaking. We are definately going again. Can't wait!
